JOE VIGLIOTTI was born in 1986 on Long Island, New York, where he was raised before moving to northern central Maryland in 1996.
He studied history, philosophy, and political science at Mount Saint Mary’s University where he graduated in 2008.
His writing -both fiction and nonfiction- has appeared in numerous publications, and he is the author of eighteen books.
His novel, Carnival Week, took second place in the young adult category of the 2011 Royal Dragonfly Awards. He is also an award-winning artist and photographer.
He is Roman Catholic, owns two chihuahuas - Frankie and Maddie (who serve as an objective and supportive editors), and is currently serving as County Commissioner for District 1 in Carroll County, Maryland. He was previously a third term member of the City Council of Taneytown where he served in the capacity of Mayor Pro Tem.
